General Information

The purpose of the Social Elective courses offered by our department is to introduce the entire YTÜ student body to academic disciplines—including Sociology, Psychology, History, Anthropology, Philosophy, and various fields within their subdisciplines—through original and contemporary approaches, within the framework of their fundamental methods and content. The fundamental principles underlying this objective are to cultivate competent, independent individuals equipped with knowledge and cultural literacy regarding social institutions within the context of university education; to facilitate interdisciplinary communication across diverse fields of knowledge; and to prioritize social benefit.
