Master's Program in Philosophy
Program Objectives
To train experts capable of rational and critical thinking through research, analysis, and educational activities, and to enable the discipline of philosophy—which has been proven worldwide to contribute significantly to all forms of positive development—to achieve an influential position in our country as well. The purpose of the thesis-based master’s program is to ensure that students acquire the ability to access, evaluate, and interpret information through scientific research.

Credit Requirements:
The program consists of a total of “7 courses (21 credits) (120 ECTS).” All of these courses are elective. Additionally, a “Seminar” course is required. After completing a 21-credit course and seminar process spread over two semesters, students submit and defend their master’s thesis. For applicants from outside the department, a “Scientific Preparation” program is offered, and they are required to take courses designated by the faculty members. To graduate, students are required to publish a paper based on their thesis in collaboration with their advisor.

Who Can Apply?
To apply for master’s programs, applicants must hold a diploma from a four-year college or equivalent higher education institution and have obtained a minimum standard score of 55 on the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES), and a score of at least 55 on the YDS exam or an equivalent score on a foreign language exam recognized as equivalent to the YDS.
