Master's Program in Sociology
Program Objectives
Sociology is the primary discipline capable of offering a scientific perspective that enables a coherent and holistic understanding and explanation of the increasingly complex contemporary world.
Through the educational and research activities conducted within the program, the aim is to train aspiring scholars who are well-versed in the methodology and problem areas of the social sciences, capable of understanding and explaining social structures and processes using sociological methods and concepts, and who are capable of critical thinking.

Credit Requirements and Curriculum:
The program consists of a total of “7 courses (21 credits) (120 ECTS).” All of these courses are elective. In addition, a “Seminar” course is required. Students are required to submit and successfully defend their master’s thesis following a 21-credit course and seminar process spread over two semesters. Within this framework, the program’s curriculum is as follows:

Who Can Apply?
To apply for the program, applicants must hold a degree from a four-year college or equivalent higher education institution and have obtained a minimum standard score of 55 on the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES), and a score of at least 55 on the YDS exam or an equivalent score on a foreign language exam recognized as equivalent to the YDS.
